Biology Department: Tri-Beta End of the Year Cookout Students and Faculty from the Biology Department came together to take a break from studying and working to celebrate the end of year. This was the third cookout hosted by the Tau Phi Chapter of Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society and it was a big success. It was held at Barnes Atrium. Thank you to everyone who helped and came to the cookout. Wish everyone well with finals and have a great summer break. See you next year! |

Breast Cancer Walk Tri-Beta joined forces with the Student Health Services to host a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. The walk started at the Sebastian Health Center and ended at Sebastian Health Center. There was an educational and inspirational talk from Breast Cancer Survivors. Student Organizaion Fair The officers of Tri-Beta came together to promote the Tau Phi Beta Beta Beta Chapter to all students at the annual Student Org Fair. We appreciate all the students who stopped by and signed-up. We hope to see you all soon. Other than meet students, officers took time to enjoy the music and mingled with other organizations. |

Tri-Beta Honor Society Inductions The Tau Phi Chapter of Beta Beta Beta Inductions were held in McNair Auditorium for the inductions of the new Regular and Associate members of Tri-Beta of 2015. Also graduate members, promoted members and newly elected e-board officers were also recognized. This year was the largest of inductions with 33 regular members, 17 associate, 12 graduate, and 5 promotions. Congrats to all the inductees and newly elected e-board members!!!!!!!!!!! NeighborWoods Right Plant-Right Community Tree Planting Event Tri-Beta joined forces with other organizations around Greensboro, NC to help plant trees in the Warnersville Neighborhood to help celebrate Arbor Day. The Plant-Right Community Tree Planting is designed to help restore the tree covers in Greensboro by planting trees in neighborhoods and open spaces around the city. Also they provide knowledge about how to plant trees and shrubs. We want to thank everyone who participated in the event. Bridging the Gap
Tri-Beta hosted the second annual Bridging the Gap program. Teachers and staff from the biology department were on the panel to answer any questions about issues that concerned biology students. Also there was discussion of ideas that could help publicize biology events, internships and grad school opportunities better. We want to thank everyone who participated on the panel and came out to the program.

Holiday Social Tri-Beta, MAPS & USNDA joined together to host a holiday social for the biology department. Members of each organization were able to fellowship with each other during the potluck, icebreaker activities and bake-off competition. Also our Tri-Beta president announced the new 7 inductees of Tri-Beta. Congrats to the new inductees of Tri-Beta and thank you to all who participated. |

NC A&T HOMECOMING CORONATION FOR MISTER & MISS A&T Tri-Beta and MAPS participated in the NC A&T Homecoming Coronation for Mister and Miss A&T. Our very own Mr. Tri-Beta, Cameron Taylor Hopkins-Harringtion, and Miss Tri-Beta, Brianna Arrington, participated in the ceremony. Leadership Retreat
Leaders from MAPS, Tri-Beta, Pre-Law, and USNDA participated in the Leadership retreat in Moore Gym. Various activities were completed to help understand the importance of being a leader and how to get members of the organization to be more involved. Camp Caraway and Mrs. Cindy Martin were keynote speakers that encouraged the pre-professional leaders on how communication, teamwork and trust are key things to keep a organization running.
